Why the Change? 2016 Yearbook Distribution

For the first time this August, the Luminarian will have a fall distribution instead of a May delivery.

“But when do we get to sign them?  It’s tradition! Why make the change?”

The primary reason is because you will get a superior yearbook. In prior years, the print deadline for books delivered the last week of school was March 1. That meant anything that occurred in the school year after March 1 – from spring sports, to prom, to graduation – was relegated to the often-misplaced spring supplement.  We still have dozens of old supplements in the yearbook room that never found homes with graduates or other buyers, so if you were a girls tennis player or a cadet marching in the Memorial Day parade, for most yearbook buyers…you never existed.

BUT NOW – every bit of the school year we were able to capture is in this beautiful book. The 2015-16 staff worked hard, “giving it their all” as the theme states, to make this the best book in recent memory.  In fact, we are a recognized “yearbook of excellence” book through Jostens, making every deadline, including over 75% of the student body in the book at least three times, and reaching our sales goals.  We raised enough money to take staffers to three different workshops in the last year, to better improve our knowledge for future yearbooks.  Most importantly, we are proud of this yearbook, and we hope you are proud to own it.

Distribution Details

2016 graduates, we are throwing you a pizza party send-off on Thursday, August 4th from 5-7 PM, co-hosted with the Alumni office. Come to get your book, sign some friends’ books, and say one last goodbye before many of you head off for college and other adventures.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors – Friday, August 12, when the freshmen are on their retreat (because they don’t have yearbooks anyway!), we will have a special schedule and deliver the yearbooks during school, then give you time to look through and sign them.

If you cannot get your yearbook during one of these times, contact yearbook@clhscadets.com and we will make other arrangements.  If you still want to snag a copy of the #Lumo2016, contact yearbook@clhscadets.com ASAP!

Soli Deo Gloria!
