What are senior ads?

Senior Ad ExMany families choose to purchase space in the advertising section of the Luminarian to say something special to their graduate – congratulations, a reminder of a Bible verse or family motto, or best wishes for the adventures ahead.  Ads often include senior photos or baby pictures, and in the 2016 Luminarian ads were even more personalized, featuring student artwork and handwritten messages. For more information about placing a senior recognition ad, see our information packet below or contact yearbook@clhscadets.com.

National Youth Gathering

Very few of our students spend their summer playing video games on their bums. Many traveled down to New Orleans for the National Youth Gathering; others joined their churches on missions trips to locations far and wide. Even more spent a lot of time at CLHS, leading athletic camps, conditioning themselves, or attending summer school.  Here’s a snapshot of some of our students from the National Youth Gathering, and if you have more of your summer photos to add, send them to yearbook@clhscadets.com or upload them to the ReplayIt App!

Why the Change? 2016 Yearbook Distribution

For the first time this August, the Luminarian will have a fall distribution instead of a May delivery.

“But when do we get to sign them?  It’s tradition! Why make the change?”

The primary reason is because you will get a superior yearbook. In prior years, the print deadline for books delivered the last week of school was March 1. That meant anything that occurred in the school year after March 1 – from spring sports, to prom, to graduation – was relegated to the often-misplaced spring supplement.  We still have dozens of old supplements in the yearbook room that never found homes with graduates or other buyers, so if you were a girls tennis player or a cadet marching in the Memorial Day parade, for most yearbook buyers…you never existed.
